Katerina Tretyakova, Soprano

The Russian soprano begins the 21-/22 season singing Violetta in a production of Verdi’s La Traviata at Lihtuanian National Opera Vilnius. In Pamplona she appears as Oscar in Verdi’s Un Ballo in maschera.

In recent seasons the soprano sang Musetta in Puccini’s La Bohème at Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona and Traviata at Semperoper Dresden and at the Berlin State Opera with great success. She returned to Graz Opera as  Juliette in Roméo et Juliette and made her role debut as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Under the baton of Bertrand de Billy, she performed in Fauré’s Requiem with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Important commitments of the previous seasons include Juliette in Roméo et Juliette and Oscar in Ballo in Maschera at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, ??her first Traviata at the Berlin State Opera and her debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein as Juliette. The State Opera Hamburg presented the soprano as a guest as Lucia, Musetta and Woglinde, at Theater an der Wien  and Aalto Theater Essen she sang Anna in Marschner’s Hans Heiling and at Aalto Theater Essen, performed Regina in Mathis der Maler at Theater an der Wien and at the Enescu Festival Bucharest. She made her role debut as Juliette at the Graz Opera, sang Traviata at the Vilnius Opera and made her debut as Gilda (Rigoletto) at the Bogota Opera House.

From 2010/11 to 2015/16 Katerina Tretyakova was a member of the ensemble of the Hamburg State Opera and could be heard here in numerous key parts of her repertoire such as Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Gilda (Rigoletto), Adina (L 'Elisir d' Amore), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Musetta (La Bohème), Nannetta (Falstaff), Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) a.o.

Katerina Tretyakova regularly works with various renowned orchestras, including the Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, the Radio Orchestra Montpellier, the Dresden Philharmonic and the Hamburg Philharmonic.

The soprano first completed a degree in conducting and continued her education in Vilnius and at the Mozarteum Salzburg with vocal studies. In 2008 she was accepted for the Young Singer’s Project of the Salzburg Festival and then moved to the opera studio of the Hamburg State Opera, where she quickly qualified for larger roles and was finally taken into the Hamburg ensemble. Katerina Tretyakova is winner of numerous prestigious competitions.
