Adina Aaron, Soprano

Adina Aaron has made a name for herself as one of the most expressive sopranos of her Fach with her portrayals of roles such as Tosca, Aida, Leonora, Luisa Miller and Lady Macbeth in theatres such as the Theater an der Wien, in Brussels, Washington, Marseille, Cologne, Stuttgart and at the International May Festival in Wiesbaden.

In the 2021/22 season Adina Aaron will focus on her key role Aida and will appear in this very role in Kairo and at Opera Festival Savonlinna. 

Important engagements of the past seasons include concerts with excerpts from Porgy and Bess with the HR-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Tosca at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and Staatstheater Stuttgart, Aida at the Théatre de la Monnaie Bruxelles, in Stuttgart and at the State Opera in Prague, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the Beethoven Orchestra in Bonn, at the Staatsoper Hamburg, at the Staatstheater Stuttgart and Oper Köln, Porgy and Bess at the Lyric Opera Chicago and the Nederlandse Opera Amsterdam, Le dernier jour d’un condamné at the Opéra de Marseille together with Roberto Alagna, Norma and Amelia (Un Ballo in Maschera) at Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Leonora (La Forza del Destino) at Oper Köln and Washington National Opera, Luisa Miller at Staatstheater Stuttgart, Leonora (Il Trovatore) at Opéra de Marseille and Avignon, Mimi (La Bohème) and Elisabetta (Don Carlo) in Tel Aviv. 

She sang the title part in Franco Zeffirelli’s new production of Aida at the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini Busseto, which was broadcast by RAI throughout Europe and published on DVD by TDK.

Her concert repertoire includes Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Barber’s Knoxville Summer of 1915, the Masses of Beethoven and Mozart as well as Berlioz’ Les Nuits d'Été, i.a.

Ms. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Florida International University and a Master of Music degree from Boston Conservatory.
