Falk Struckmann, Baritone/Bass-Baritone

At the centre of Mr. Struckmann’s extensive repertoire are Richard Wagner’s big dramatic roles such as Holländer, König Heinrich (Lohengrin), König Marke (Tristan und Isolde) and Hans Sachs (Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg). In Der Ring des Nibelungen he has portrayed Wotan/Wanderer, Alberich, Fafner, Hunding, Gunther and Hagen and in Parsifal he has sung Gurnemanz and Amfortas, as well as Klingsor. Born in Heilbronn Mr. Struckmann began his career in Kiel and Basel, and from there he quickly went to all the important opera houses and festivals around the world. He regularly works with the world’s leading conductors, including Daniel Barenboim, Christian Thielemann, Kirill Petrenko, Riccardo Muti, Simone Young and Bertrand de Billy.
