Born in Munich, she has a longstanding relationship with the Bavarian State Opera. For her interpretation of the Gutrune she was awarded the Festival Prize of the Bavarian Opera Festival in 2012. Anna Gabler has appeared at the Vienna State Opera as Agathe in Freischütz, Chrysothemis in Elektra, Arabella and Capriccio (Countess).

At the Salzburg Festival she sang Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg under the direction of Daniele Gatti, directed by Stefan Herheim. The Bayreuth Festival invited Anna Gabler for Ortlinde in Die Walküre under Christian Thielemann and as Senta in the children's opera production of the Flying Dutchman.

Anna Gabler's further roles include Fidelio-Leonore, Senta, Carlotta in Schreker's Die Gezeichneten and Salome. The Salome production in Klagenfurt featuring her in the title role was chosen as opera production of the year in Austria.

With her first permanent engagements in Düsseldorf and Nuremberg, Anna Gabler laid the basis for her international career. Guest appearances have taken her to prestigious stages in Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dresden and Tokyo. Anna Gabler worked with some well-known directors such as Andreas Kriegenburg, Stefan Herheim, David McVicar, Christof Loy and Katharina Thalbach.

In the concert area, she sang Mahler's 8th Symphony, Verdi Requiem, Strauss’ Four Last Songs, Britten’s War Requiem and Orchesterlieder by Joseph Marx a.o.
